Wes Anderson’s use of color in all his films is impeccably selected and beautifully represented in the 2009 stop-motion film, Fantastic Mr Fox. He uses reds, oranges, browns, and yellows to create a warm aura for viewers. Anderson’s films are highly distinguished from other films because of his palette choices. In The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004) the palette is primarily (no pun intended) reds, yellows, and blues. Moonrise Kingdom (2012) has a color palette rich in browns, greens, pinks, and yellows. And finally, The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) uses pinks, a wide variety of blues, browns, and most iconic: Chas Tenenbaum and son’s bright red tracksuits.

Wes Anderson has a classic choice of color palettes, recognizable to any average viewer.
