Best Video Games of 2018

There have been many wonderful video games released throughout the year of 2018, many of which have not received the love that they deserve. Today I will spread awareness to you about many games which I believe deserve to be known due to their aspects of gameplay, story, graphics and overall enjoyment
Most gamers all have their favorites whether it be genre dependent or simply for the fact that they enjoy the game because it’s “fun”. I will be ranking the games as 5 being the least enjoyed to 1 being the most enjoyed.

#5 Dead Cells

Gameplay: 4/5   Graphics: 4.2/5   Story: 3/5   Soundtrack: 4.2/5   Overall: 4/5

To start of this list strong, coming in at number 5 is Dead Cells. Dead Cells is an experience in itself that characterizes the action-platformer genre. Dead Cells takes heavy inspiration from the Castlevania series with its side-scrolling gameplay, which makes it feel more modernized and sturdy nowadays. Pair this gameplay with stylish pixelated graphics, as well as an amazing soundtrack that fits extremely well to the fast paced gameplay that Dead Cells has to offer, and you’ve got an amazing game.

#4 Hollow Knight

Gameplay: 3.8/5   Graphics: 4.1/5   Story: 3.5/5   Soundtrack: 4.3/5   Overall: 4/5

The game that takes the number 4 spot on this list is Hollow Knight. Ah, Hollow Knight, the newest installment to the Shovel Knight franchise comes packed with a very different aesthetic. Hollow Knight has a very dark, but beautiful style, which is very fitting for the game and makes it stand out from all the others in the Shovel Knight series.

#3 Marvels Spiderman

Gameplay: 4/5   Graphics 4.3/5   Story: 4.2/5   Soundtrack: 4/5   Overall: 4.2/5

A highly anticipated videogame this year was Marvel’s Spiderman. Spiderman received incredibly high reception over the gross period of the game’s release. In fact, this game was so popular that many people bought a PS4 just for this game, considering that it was an exclusive to PS4 only.

#2 Celeste

One of the most aesthetically pleasing games to come out is hands down Celeste.
