Drama Club to Perform Arsenic and Old Lace
Drama Club is putting on the fall play on November 12th-13th in the High School Auditorium.
E. Jeffreys (class of 2024) plays Mortimer, a theater critic engaged to a woman named Elaine, played by Sadie Traudt (class of 2025). When he goes to his two aunts’ house to announce the happy new engagement, he discovers a dead body of a man on the windowsill.
Mortimer’s crazy aunts—played by Chloe Moor (class of 2024) and Josie Rourke (class of 2025) are murderers!
This discovery kickstarts the plot of Arsenic and Old Lace, a play that will be performed on November 12th at 7:00 PM and November 13th at 2:00 PM.
This play is more known through its film adaptation in 1944, starring Cary Grant, and is filled with a wide range of exciting and hilarious characters. Take Jonathon Brewster played by Nathan D’Ordine (class of 2026) for instance, one of the aunt’s sons. He’s a crazy psycho on the run from the law!
As those dates in November draw closer, remember to look out for ticket sales and see Arsenic and Old Lace.
