“Stand By Me” (1986) Review
In the film Stand By Me (1986) a man learns of one of his friends’ deaths. Saddened, the movie leads the audience back to the summer of 1959 where a group of four kids try to make one last memory before school starts. When they learn of the location of a kid their age whose body went missing a few days prior, they embark on the journey to try to become local heroes. They instantly set off walking along the train tracks the boy was last seen walking on. During the trip the group becomes closer than ever, but their friendship might not be enough for them to reach the body in time.
With some great placed humor while still having a serious mood, I would give Stand by Me a 9/10.
