Among the six fall varsity sport teams at Rhinebeck High School, the girls’ volleyball team had the most seniors in the 2025 season. It’s surprising for a school that is known for soccer to have the volleyball team be the one with the most seniors. The other teams have one to three seniors, while the volleyball team has five seniors: Abigail Connolly, Isabella Maiorino, Macilyn Eighmy, and captains Mady Ranalli and Kaia Rouse. With so many seniors, the other players have many role models to look up to on and off the court.
What makes this group of five seniors so significant is how they have been working together since they were freshmen or sophomores on varsity, which has made this team have great chemistry and dynamic with each other. Recently, the team celebrated their seniors for senior night on October 16th.
“Senior Night made me very proud to be a part of the Rhinebeck Varsity Volleyball team. The support I felt from my team and student section was really inspiring and I will miss being on the court,” said Team Captain Kaia Rouse. The environment at volleyball games has been spirited and powerful this season.
With this year’s volleyball season now at an end, everyone can agree that it was a great one with all around positive energy and a spectacular group of seniors. The 2025 volleyball seniors will surely be missed.
