Max Dennison (Omri Katz) has just moved from sunny California to spooky Salem, Massachusetts. It’s about to be Halloween and his teacher tells his class about the Winfred sisters, legendary Salem witches. Max being the cool kid from Cali doesn’t believe it, though he might regret that later. Following this spooky adventure with his little sister (Thora Birch) and a new friend from school (Vinessa Shaw), Hocus Pocus is a classic 90s Halloween movie that is a crowd pleaser. There are some parts you might tear up at, but this movie is overall very fun to watch and will get you into the Halloween mood. Very well made for its time, and the costume and set design is phenomenal.
