“He’s Just Not That Into You” (2009) Review

He’s Just Not That Into You, directed by Ken Kwapis, is a must-watch. Friends and couples living in Baltimore, all in their 20s and 30s are trying to figure out and push through the hardships of their relationships. The movie follows many different storylines, all going through different romantic troubles and relationships. There are many famous actors and actresses in this film including but not limited to: Drew Barrymore, Ben Affleck, Justin Long, Jennifer Aniston, Bradley Cooper, Scarlett Johansson, and Ginnifer Goodwin. Each of them do a good job in their roles, but we have seen these roles before. That is the setback with this film— it is a tad unoriginal. We have seen pretty much all these storylines before, the only difference is they are all shoved into one movie and of course all the A-list celebrities. Seemingly making fun of the cliches on love in the beginning of the film, in the end we see each couple perform these cliches. You’ll either love this movie or hate it for all these reasons.

Personally I love this movie, but I acknowledge its flaws. I would give it a 6.8 out of 10 rating.
