“Inglorious Basterds” (2009) Review
Quentin Terantino’s Inglourious Basterds is a violent, unique, and brilliant film. Inglourious Basterds is set during WW2 in a world of trickery and retribution. In the film, Ternatino switches focus from the Basterds, an undercover group of American soldiers and the main group focused on, to other characters that help make an involving and thrilling storyline. As each group and character’s stories develop, they become intertwined with each other, and help add depth to the developing climax. Spies, gunfights, espionage, and revenge drive the plot, and reimagine what could have been. But, the downside of the film is that the climax seemed too simple and easy. Meaning, that the work of the bastards and their final goal was reached, but rushed and did not happen in a manner that made sense considering the rest of the film.
A violently rousing film, Inglourious Basterds is fantastic and I would highly recommend watching it. I rate this film 8.5/10
