“Shaun of the Dead” (2004) Review
Shaun of the Dead (2004) is a classic zombie horror-comedy directed by Edgar Wright. The film introduces Shaun, an electronics salesman played by Simon Pegg, and Ed, Shaun’s lazy best friend played by Nick Frost, in the midst of a zombie apocalypse in London. Shaun plans to rescue his girlfriend and his mother and retreat to his favorite pub for protection. Shaun of the Dead does an excellent job of mixing horror comedy, with hilarious British humor, and authentic horror, with body gore and anxiety-inducing moments, while also focusing on character and their connections and flaws. With a director such as Edgar Wright, you are bound to witness incredible editing, great acting, and an amazing screenplay. Overall, Shaun of the Dead is an excellent horror movie to watch for a good laugh and spook in the month of October.
This being said, this movie deserves a 10/10
