Get Out (2017) is a psychological horror that is filled with suspense and a touch of action. It is a film about our main character Chris who is a black man visiting his white girlfriend’s parents for the weekend. When he arrives, however, it doesn’t take long for things to seem strange such as a white family with black maids and groundskeepers and the people around him seem to view him strangely. Get Out (2017) comments on race, racism, and slavery in an extremely entertaining watch that I would highly recommend.

I would rate Get Out a 9/10. It does an amazing job of discussing its subject matter of race with plenty of surprising twists and solid action along with a touch of mystery. I think it really puts into perspective the anxiety that a person of color would feel when put into Chris’s situation.
