“The House That Jack Built” (2018) Review
Lars von Trier’s The House That Jack Built (2018) tells the story of serial killer Jack’s (Matt Dillon) life’s work through five incidents of murder. With quick cuts and a series of carefully designed characters, von Trier captures the audience’s full attention and takes them along for a killer ride of trial and error. Jack’s failed passion for architecture and his battle with OCD sure makes him a unique and vicious murderer, with one project he tirelessly works towards. This film is recommended to those who enjoy a complex and twisted horror story.
I would rate this film an 8.5/10.
