Rhinebeck Boys Soccer Champions Enjoy One Last Hoorah

December 18th, 2019— Exactly one month after the final whistle blew in the Hawks’ state championship winning game, the team was honored at a recognition night held at the RHS’s auditorium.
The ceremony celebrated the team’s successes, including capturing the MHALS title and completing an undefeated season.
Nine speakers congratulated the team and highlighted different aspects of the season in their speeches. Superintendent Joseph Phelan and local government officials Gary Bassett, Allan Scherr, and Marc Molinaro spoke about the team’s positive impact on the Rhinebeck community\; while Coach Wiesenthal, Coach Grande, and Athletic Director Mr. Boucher expressed their pride in the team’s accomplishments and work ethic throughout the season.
The Rhinebeck Hawks have etched their achievement into the history books as 2019 Class C New York State Soccer Champions.
