Rhinebeck’s Third Lutheran Church will host its Blessing of the Animals on May 18th at 12:00pm. All furry, reptilian, and domesticated friends are welcome!
According to Rosemary Joyce, the event coordinator, this is the second animal blessings event that the church has hosted. Last year was a success, but this year is a bigger event with even more folks participating.
Exhibitors include The Southlands Foundation, Hope Farm Animal Rescue, PANT (Partnership for Animals Needing Transition), the Blind Dog Rescue Alliance, and many more.
Dr. Laura Jaworski, a veterinarian, wildlife rehabilitator, educator and falconer, will be there with Lazarus, a 7-year old Eurasian eagle owl.
Once again, visitors will be invited to add a memento to the Pet Remembrance Tree for animals who are no longer with us. The bond between a human and their animal is very special, and the bond with a childhood pet in particular is special and unmatched.
Be sure to attend this special event to celebrate all things animal.
