From Kanye to The Beatles, Rhinebeck has no shortage of bopping heads and tapping toes.
Walking through the halls, the sun glaring through the glass windows and chatter all around, or in a quiet study hall catching up on homework—what are you listening to? When asked how music helps our peers throughout the school day. Many claimed it to be essential. “It fuels my work and makes me feel like I’m working on my own terms even though I’m in school,” Maeve Doran, Class of 2023, said.
There are many benefits to music that can help you throughout your day. According to “10 Positive Benefits Of Listening To Music” from Live for Live Music, some notable benefits of music are: increasing happiness, decreasing stress, improving sleep, reducing depression, increasing verbal intelligence, raising academic performance, strengthening learning, and memory.
