“Maid in Manhattan” (2002) Review
Maid In Manhattan (2002) tells the story of single mother Marisa (Jennifer Lopez), who works at a high-class New York City hotel as a maid. As she struggles with balancing work and taking care of her son, she meets Christopher Marshall (Ralph Fiennes) while wearing a high-riding customer’s designer outfit. Under this mistaken identity, Christopher, a famous politician in the works, falls for Marisa. Exploring themes of class, love, and honesty, director Wayne Wang creates a charmingly raw story of love.
I would rate this film with an 8/10. Anyone who enjoys feel-good romantic comedies would surely fall in love with Jennifer Lopez and her rags to riches story.
