What was the name of the marathon that you ran?

The Mohawk Hudson River Marathon

How did you prepare for this marathon?

I started training in April, so 24 weeks.

Did you change your eating habits to support long distance runs?

Drink more water and eat more when you run you feel hungrier after a long run.

What made you a long distance runner?

I was on the Cross Country and Track team during high school. I did races out of school and always wanted to run a marathon to see if i could do it.

Do you think there will be other marathons or larger races in your future?

We are talking only two days after the run, and my legs are still super sore!

What advice would you give to someone who wishes to run their first marathon?

You need to commit to putting in the time and the miles. The last miles of a marathon take mental strength and a lot of positive thinking. If you want to do it, you should! It’s an empowering experience!
