Mobile games are very popular among students in our school. If one walks into a study hall, they will see a good portion of students playing mobile games. After interviewing members of the student body, we have seen what mobile games people play most frequently, when they play these games, how they became interested in them, and how often they play.
Between those interviewed in the Rhinebeck Central School, preferences tended to vary greatly. A couple students’ favorites include, Flow Free, Wordle Unlimited, BlockBlast, Clash Royale, Brawl Stars, and Flying Gorilla. The majority of games can be played mindlessly, even while doing other things like listening to music or watching a show.
Most commonly, people choose to play when they do not have access to Wifi or are done with school work. Many users state they heard of these games through friends, family, or social media.
The most popular game is BlockBlast by HungryGames. The game’s overall goal is to achieve a new highest score by placing different shaped pieces onto a board. Almost every one of our peers that we consulted is very into BlockBlast. They find the game satisfying and mind stimulating. The game can be very addictive and incorporates strategy. Everyone is always trying to beat their high score.
Most of those interviewed who play mobile games observably play when they are bored and need a source of entertainment. There are many different mobile games and everyone can find something they enjoy.
