“Soul” (2020) Review
In this emotional and beautifully articulated movie, we are introduced to the world of Joe Gardner, a middle school band teacher who is down on his luck.
Joe’s emotions and love of jazz creates for a talented, engaging, and immensely relatable character.
His wittiness covers for his somewhat-apparent sadness due to not being able to find a proper job and make his mother content.
Even though Joe may not be a real person, Disney and Pixar’s phenomenal storytelling and animations makes for a soul-stirring experience.
Soul will touch the hearts of the most stern viewers, and inspire the most sensitive. This clever and innovative plot delves into the complexities and the beauties of life.
Moreover, Joe’s otherworldly adventure exhibits the unique individuality that each and every person has.
Soul provides a new lens into the human experience and what it means to have a spiritual essence.
All things considered, this movie is 8/10.
