“1917” (2019) Review

1917 is a true story about two young men from a British Troop in World War 1 trying to cross the horrific No Man’s Land. This movie is heart wrenching and literally breathtaking. The cinematography is beautiful and amazingly choreographed. The set design is out of this world. It gives a great insight into what it was like to be a soldier in WW1. The One-Shot cinematography makes it feel like you are right there with them. The acting from George MacKay is outstanding. This movie is definitely for an older audience, and isn’t a documentary. However, you don’t need to know a lot about WW1 to enjoy this movie.

I would give 1917 a 9/10.
