Prom Fundraising Update: Winter Carnival Makes It Rain (Snow?)

On Saturday January 26th, the RHS student volunteers transformed the CLS gym into a winter wonderland, featuring snowflake garlands, a 10-foot wintry arch, a sea of hot cocoa cupcakes, and a surprise appearance by representative Antonio Delgado.

This fun-filled scene marked the second annual Winter Carnival hosted by the Class of 2020. The Winter Carnival, which premiered last year, is an annual fundraiser event where families can play winter-themed games, enjoy homemade baked goods, and savor the winter season.

Doubling last year’s profits, this year’s carnival was a massive success, thanks to the hard work of the Junior Class, student volunteers, and teacher chaperones. According to Junior Class President Jonah Carleton, “all the money from the winter carnival will go towards the prom.”

This year’s vintage-hollywood-themed prom will be held at Diamond Mills and (hopefully) will be better than ever, thanks to the Winter Carnival.
